Wake me up #harvest2014

With Oscars being the buzz word this week I thought it fitting to post a short video clip of what we are up to in the cellar at Doolhof.

This has truly been a harvest of extremes.  We had plenty of winter (as well as summer) rains which delayed the harvest by about 10 days.  Most white cultivars ripened a bit later than usual but the sweltering heat of February made the reds catch up fast - resulting in the a very busy month.  

And now March has brought us a few sprinkles of rain again and, is it my imagination, or are the evenings getting cooler too?  Is it time to take the duvet out of the closet yet?

Okay, so, I'm making my directorial début with this clip.  I don't think the Academy Awards will be knocking on my door any time soon but I hope you find it informative.  And if you don't, then just enjoy the song...you can never go wrong with a bit of Avicii.
